RMHC hosts programmes and activities that meaningfully improve the health and well-being of children. On its own, and in partnership with other voluntary organisations, RMHC supports educational and therapeutic programmes to assist children, adolescents and young people gain the core skills and competences to help them step into their future with confidence. RMHC also embraces families so that they can share in their young ones’ journey and play a part in the educational support system that RMHC helps to build.
The Malta Chapter is part of the RMHC global network which delivers programmes and services in more than 62 countries and regions, benefitting the lives of millions of children and their families around the world.
RMHC has enjoyed the support of the McDonald’s system – owners, operators, suppliers, employees and customers – around the world since it was established in 1974. RMHC Malta’s leading benefactor is Premier Restaurants Malta, the operator of McDonald’s restaurants in Malta and Gozo.
Globally, RMHC promises to “Keep Families Close”. RMHC delivers on this promise in Malta by ensuring that support provided to children and young people also benefits their families and guardians by extension. This is why the Ronald McDonald Learning Centre’s facilities and resources are made available to other voluntary organisations so that they can provide their own services in the area.
